【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationestablishesperformancerequirements,testmethods,andlabelingrequirementstopromotethesafeuseofinfantbathseats.Productscommonlyreferredtoasbathringsalsoareincludedinthescopeofthisspecification.Traditionalinfantbathtubsthatareusedtobatheaninfantarenotwithinthescopeofthisstandard.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtoreducetheriskofdeathandminimizeinjurytoinfantsresultingfromuseandreasonablyforeseeableabuseofinfantbathseats.1.3Noinfantbathseatproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.4Thetestvaluesanddimensionsstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.SIvaluesinparenthesesaregivenforinformationonly.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisconsumersafetyspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
