【摘要】:Uraniumdioxideisusedasanuclear-reactorfuel.Gadoliniumoxideisusedasanadditivetouraniumdioxide.Inordertobesuitableforthispurpose,thesematerialsmustmeetcertaincriteriaforimpuritycontent.ThistestmethodisdesignedtodeterminewhetherthehydrogencontentmeetsSpecificationsC753,C776,C888,andC922.1.1Thistestmethodappliestothedeterminationofhydrogeninnuclear-gradeuraniumoxidepowdersandpelletstodeterminecompliancewithspecifications.Gadoliniumoxide(Gd2O3)andgadoliniumoxide-uraniumoxidepowdersandpelletsmayalsobeanalyzedusingthistestmethod.1.2Thisstandarddescribesaprocedureformeasuringthetotalhydrogencontentofuraniumoxides.Thetotalhydrogencontentresultsfromabsorbedwater,waterofcrystallization,hydro-carbidesandotherhydrogenatedcompoundswhichmayexistasfuel''simpurities.1.3Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationof0.05to200x03BC;gofresidualhydrogen.1.4Thistestmethoddescribesanelectrodefurnacecarriergascombustionsystemequippedwithathermalconductivitydetector.1.5Thepreferredsystemofunitsismicrogramshydrogenpergramofsample(x03BC;g/gsample)ormicrogramshydrogenpergramofuranium(x03BC;g/gU).1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
