【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverscoextrudedpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)plasticpipewithacellularcoreandconcentricinnerandoutersolidlayers,andisproducedusingamultilayercoextrusiondiefornonpressureuseinthreeseries:anIPSSchedule40series;aPSserieswithanironpipesizeoutsidediameterwithvaryingwallthicknessasrequiredforpipestiffnessof25,50,and100;andaseweranddrainseries.Thefunctionofthisspecificationistoprovidestandardizationofproduct-technicaldataandserveasapurchasingguide.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Note1-Allthepipeseriescoveredbythisspecificationarepermittedtobeperforatedorbelledforjoiningbysolventcementorbelledforjoiningbyanelastomericseal(gasket).BecausethispipeisODcontrolled,theinsidediameterwillvary,andtherefore,thepipeIDisnotsuitableforuseasasocket.Note2-Thisstandardspecifiesdimensional,performanceandtestrequirementsforplumbingandfluidhandlingapplications,butdoesnotaddressventingofcombustiongases.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Note3-Specificationsrelatedtothisspecificationareasfollows:D2665,D2729,D3034,F512,F758,andF789.
